Ever fancied having a video camera attached to your GTR? Here is how you can do it for around £250 (2003)

Everything you need:

* Camera Kit (RFConcepts - 21CW)
* Or better quality (25CWSHR)
* Microphone
* Sun Hood
* Cable
* Switch (Maplin part no YX64U)
* Small amount of Velcro
* Socket (Maplin part no JX08J)
* Plug (Maplin part no JX02C)
* Socket (Maplin part no HH42V))
* Plug (Maplin part no HH26D)
* Camcorder (needs analogue input) or 12v video recorder  (LG AS111I (discontinued?) or
   Orion VP-R)
* Small TV such as Casio TV-970
* Velcro

OR the bees knees, solid state recording from www.dogcamsport.co.uk (I've had two systems from them and they really know their stuff!)

Tools:

* Plyers
* Wire cutters
* Wire strippers
* Soldering iron

Be very careful - especially when cutting cables (you cannot undo certain stages of this job! These notes are for guidance only and are not complete, it's up to you to make sure you fully understand the job before starting - Please don't call me with queries as sadly I just don't have time
On the camera lead, cut the double end off
Same as (1), but with the microphone lead
Twist the two red wires and the two black wires together

Fit plastic cover for the four way plug

Fit plug, solder it up. Note which cable goes into which pin. Fit socket to bike, making sure correct cables go into each pin.
Fit a power switch to prevent a flat battery - this switches power to the VCR and the camera(s) Picture of video and how it is connected in at the back
Wrap Velcro around the camera body Mount onto the front of your Bike using velcro
For the ultimate in camera attachments, fix a tiny switch onto the handlebars for two cameras, (one front and one rear)
The front / rear switch in place - can be operated safely with thumb whilst on the move - flip forward fro front camera and backward for rear camera
The rear camera can be mounted on the lid of the top box
Use a piece of hooked velcro stuck to the lid, a piece of looped velcro around the camera body and a double sided piece in a loop to hold the camera firmly in place
