It has a built in backrest which folds down for solo riding.

KAWASAKI GTR ZG 1000 A1

38500 odd miles on the clock

Under cover down in West Cornwall, near a little village called Brill near Constantine nearest town Falmouth.
Comes with two sets of side panniers and a brand new windshield still in its box

I stripped her down to check the wiring, and some of the leads will need replacement as the salt air down here as turned some of the black with corrosion. There is an intermittent elecrical fault on the kick stand switch, but apart from that she runs like a dream.

I am almost sixty and to be honest she is getting far to heavy for me, especially as I am also disabled with back problems. So if someone wants a good running GTR1000 they will need to bring a trailer to transport her, unless of course they have a day to re-fit all the fairing panels and like any bike her age she needs a little tlc to bring her back to her best. The fairing is bergundy and is complete. And her year of reg is according to the paperwork 1986 and she is a C Reg.

For sale, my beautiful burgundy GTR 1000.
A baby has just arrived and I'm forced to curtail my motorcycling interests.
Probably no need to mention that this is the perfect sports touring solution. A real mile muncher. Much more practical and useful than many of its more expensive competitors.

In regular use between Northampton and Bristol, on a mix of motorways and
country lanes. Perfectly suited to both. Dry rider in all conditions.

Kept off street and maintained in garage. Has full panniers and top box.

This is my GTR 1000 Concours, a beautiful bike which has never let me down. I am selling only due to the purchase of a new Harley Davidson. This is a red GTR1000 with the 103Hp engine. Original side panniers are included and as pictured, it has the rear top-box cover with top-box plate adaptor bushes underneath. It has all the original fairings, which have little to no marks on them. I have now owned the machine for 8 years and enjoyed every ride I have had on it. The engine is sweet and it soaks up the miles with little effort. Average fuel consumption is around 47 to the gallon. I have records of everything I have done to the machine over the last 5 years, which isn't a lot really; it has been a very reliable motorcycle. My reason for sale is that it is getting too heavy for me to move around the garage/workshop and I am not using it as much as I used to. Like any machine it deserves to be used.

I have a 1986 A1 D Reg, silver/black GTR 1000 for sale. I bought it about a month ago and was planning on touring europe, but due to unforseen problems I have not been able to go and I now need to sell her.
The bike is in great condition for its age, has 37,000 miles on the clock , as far as i can tell it has had 4 owners, me being the fouth, I have a good few mot certs and the bike is currentley taxed and tested. The Plastics are all in good conditions a few stone chips on the lower fairing, also has full panniers and a 40 LTR givi hardwired topbox, also hand warmers for those cold winter nights.
The tyres still have good milage left on them and I have just changed and bedded in the front brakes. Apart from that its ready to rock.

Kawasaki GTR1000 - A7

Kawasaki's answer to the BMW tourers, it is fully faired in black, with taller screen, has a shaft drive, factory fitted panniers, and an after market Givi Top box with an extra brake light, A Red Baglux tank cover, there is also 2 LED lights at the front, 2 marker lights 1 on each side, and a rear fog light. There are also 2 12v. Sockets. The bike has an alarm, and is Datataged.

This is a Three-owner bike that has been pretty well cared for during its life and has some service history. It is 12 years old but it is in very good condition with only slight marks, as you would expect for its age.

There is a repaired crack in the upper right hand top fairing but that's about it apart from a few minor marks & both pannier lids have some marks on them. Tyres are very good the rear only just replaced and the front not to long before the bike is MOT’ed till May 21st 2008 Taxed till October 2007. The engine is still strong by today's standards and the bike is ready to go touring, the exhaust system is stainless steel.

Motad collector pipes for Kawasaki GTR 1000

I have a set of collector pipes for the Motad exhaust system for the GTR1000, they are in very good nick, with no rust. I was told that these would be a direct replacement for my standard collector box, in the end they didn’t fit (the down pipe female inlet to these collector pipes are closer together than my original downpipes) and I have had the original patched. So I would advise that these would only be any good for someone with a motad replacement system.

I attach a photo – I bought them from an internet spares site, for which I’ve lost the details. I paid £45 + postage for them.

I’d take £25, postage would be £10 or they could be collected from near to Reading.

Dark / Royal Blue colour, serviced regularly, with the following bits changed and replaced since I have owned the bike. Stainless Steel exhaust down pipes & cross balance pipe, new brake pads, replaced front & rear tyres and serviced. A set of side panniers are included in the sale including the coachwork matching side infill's panels for when the panniers are not fitted.

Bike is in good condition for its age, I have looked after it and most of all it is a really comfortable ride. It also gives brilliant wind protection when touring on main roads. Only used in summer & in dry weather during my ownership since 1995. There are 2 key sets, GTR tool kit, owners manual & copies of the service & replacement works bills since owned by me.

Current Mileage : 32,458 miles. It has been garaged throughout my time, it is currently registered as off the road. I check the bike regularly and it runs lovely. KAWASAKI CONCOURS (GTR1000) 2001 finished in met blue, imported from California 2002, only done 13k with 2 owners since imported.

Absolutely first class condition all with American emissions restrictions removed and the carbs have been changed to the early type to produce the high output from the pre-restricted models (gtr fanatics will know what i'm talking about) also the headlamp changed to uk spec, Tyres (michelin macadam) as new.

Just been Mot'd for 12 months taxed til end Sept, a set of panniers are included in the sale but there were none on when I had it as its never been used for touring only week-end riding, the panniers are slightly scuffed as purchased 2nd hand and i have the illusive side fillets for fitting when panniers not fitted.

Kawasaki GTR 1000 (1986)

I recently bought a GTR 1000 so my new girlfriend (who had never been on a bike before) and I could do some touring this summer. Having gone to all the bother of getting all the gear and then the bike and insurance etc., we went for a test run and it turns out she absolutely HATES being on a bike! Bugger!

Naturally I don't want to put her through anything she doesn't like so now I have the irritating task of getting rid of all the gear etc. and the bike itself. There doesn't seem any point in me having a hugely capable tourer for "sunday trips out" by myself. I'm gutted really.

Fortunately the bike, which is a 1986 (D) with 30,000 miles on the clock was owned for 8 years by its previous owner and has been pretty well looked after and has 6 month's tax and 12 months MOT on it. It's naturally not in perfect condition but is well above average for its age.

It has been datatagged, has a new battery still under guarantee, new Motad exhaust cans still under guarantee amd always starts first press as you would expect from a GTR. I think it could probably do with a good service / tune-up, as it sometimes backfires on the overrun but the day I got it I did 280 miles on it (going down to Congleton from Carlisle to show a mate) and it cruises superb.

Kawasaki GTR 1000 (1995)

Last 25,000 miles with Senior IAM instructor - 110 bhp - replaced carb tops and exhausts (after 1990 the power output of Kawasaki GTR was reduced to 91bhp). The best all round sports / tourer - great for touring. Superb weather protection. Huge luggage capacity (the largest panniers I have ever seen). Vastly under-rated (not for nothing that this model is so popular with motorcycle instructors).
